I like those randoms moments walking along the beach as it slowly turns to night.
Don’t mind me, I’m just causally waiting for it to snow. Soon please?
Christmas is here and it’s gone, well not really I celebrate all twelve days so it’s far from over for me. Nonetheless it’s still sad to see the main Christmas days over and done with. I wrote this blog apparently a week before Christmas and completely forgot about it. So here’s me rephrasing everything and creating a post Christmas blog. Basically I was beyond excited for Christmas. I was overjoyed, filled with the holiday cheer… INCREDIBLY STROKED. You know how much I love the Christmas time. While this year, yes, feels slightly different… Maybe because we’re so early with the decorations it almost feels like we’re forgetting something or maybe it’s because I so desperately crave for a winter wonderland Christmas. I mean, I know logically speaking it hardly snows during Christmas itself, but the idea of it actually snowing is good enough for me. No words can truly express how much I enjoy the holiday season, and sometimes I wish that I didn’t live in a country so filled with other cultures. It would be nice to somehow have Christmas as the holiday everybody is excited for, and not being the only one so incredibly stoked for the holiday. I mean I know I have a lot of friends who celebrate… But I don’t know, I miss Christmas shopping with friends. The snow falling outside your window. The fire place lit up and you snuggling to a blanket to get warm. I love seeing proper “Meet Santa” things and yes while my dad as a Santa is awesome… I just… I miss being surrounded by the holiday spirit. Sometimes Christmas songs and decoration isn’t enough… In my house it is, of course it looks amazing but I mean outside. Sometimes you just want to walk out and see everybody just excited for a holiday as you are. Oh Christmas, how you bring out so many emotions in me.
But let’s cut the sap and get to the story part of this blog. CHRISTMAS WAS AMAZING. I got so many books to read, including the Game of Thrones box set. I have that huge Harry Potter Page to Screen book. Tons of DVDs and not to mention the best present of alllll from my grandparents, a Bayern Munich jersey with Schweinsteiger’s name at the back. IT IS MY NEW PRIZED POSSESSION. I even got this really amazing shaggy rug, that its just ridiculously comfortable to lay on. I manage to fall asleep so many times. I’ll be spending the Christmas season reading because I just have so many books to read now. Including the ones I told my mum I finished but haven’t actually… Opps? It was just incredible. I can’t believe it’s over already to be honest. I mean the Christmas spirit is still here but yeah… Anyway the next day was typically spent relaxing. Really nice and then as tradition on the 26, Lana and Lyanna came over for the turkey dinner. Lana was bored so she came at like 3pm. We basically just lazed around, relaxed and she helped me finish up something I was planning to give Luen. I think it’s one of the best ideas I’ve had yet. Or actually semi idea. I made a joke and Lana turned the joke into a present idea. Something like that, I’ll explain once he’s been given the present since he left for Bali on that very day. Lyanna came shortly after around 5pm and then we started getting ready for dinner. Christmas, the one time I’m actually excited about wearing a dress. Mind you it has a lot to do with it being a long dress and the fact that I feel like a princess every time I wear it. Ratri was slightly late but she eventually arrived. It was her first time seeing my Christmas house in like… EVER. So it was really nice having her there. Dinner was amazing. We were stuffed to glory and there were hilarious conversations like how we all had to initiate Ratri, so she was the unfortunate victim to the jokes and the blames. Or how Lana and Lyanna’s first Boxing Day dinner at my house went. How Luen and Justin ended up stopping by for a bit and Tykes scared the shit out of Justin, a memory that apparently haunts him every time he’s reminded of my house. Or how our friends all react differently to being drunk and how I get to witness everything since I stay sober. It was really random conversations… Really. But it was nice and I enjoyed myself. Sadly Ratri had to leave really soon, so that was a major bummer. After that, we just helped clear up a bit and then we exchanged presents. Thankfully everybody liked their present and Lyanna gave me this really awesome necklace that I now play to wear as much as I can. As for Lana’s present… Well that will come in another story. :P
I think we only slept at like four, I didn’t get to sleep much because I was in the middle and Lana not only hogged the bed but the blanket too. I remember Lyanna waking me up to ask for the blanket and me telling her I would but I literally could not move because Lana had her legs all over me. -.-’ Such a clingy sleeper. Woke up early, made sure my parents were alright and then basically started clearing up and then having a very simple but yummy turkey lunch when the others woke up. Lana enjoyed herself finishing up my post it wall in my bathroom. It’s nearly completed now. Only about five more till it’s done? :D I really like it, it makes me so happy seeing it, all the memories written and posted on my wall. Literally. How sweet. Anyway, Lana had to sadly leave early but I went to the Curve with Lyanna for a bit to help her shop for last minute presents. But yeah that’s basically how it went. You know how Christmas is, simple relaxing hang outs and days. I do apologize if everything seems rushed and weird, it’s nearly 2am right now a day before New Years Eve and I decided to finally finish a blog before the end of the year. Nonetheless I still procrastinated for majority of the day and I’ve only decided to start writing about it now. Smooth? I think so. I just recently had my little Christmas party that originally started with so much drama but thankfully went off with a hint. It was on the 29th, a day after the Twins birthday which I did spam them to glory on. Sadly missing out on their birthday party as well, I called them over like I did last year to at least somehow have a chance to celebrate their birthday. Everybody came. Like the entire Avengers group, including Muiz, Irsyad and Alia. I was so happy everybody could make it. Even made a new friend because Faris brought a plus one. It was pretty awesome having everybody there. The first thing they all said when they came in was that they understood why I was home this entire December and that all my hard work did pay off so good job. Hahaha then they started making jokes on how long it would take for Adrees to walk in, see my tree and Instagram it. :P It took two minutes, literally. To be honest the entire thing was a giant mess because I was running around being the host, getting the food out, giving everybody their drinks and still attempting to make conversation so to tell the entire story would be a biggggg mess but basically the night was pretty damn awesome.
I was so glad to see everybody again, especially after I really hadn’t seen them all for an entire month and I honestly got to see EVERYBODY. We even had a little present moment for the December babies and I was so glad that everybody loved their present because I wasn’t so sure if it was exactly what they wanted. I got to catch up with the Twins, which was something I really wanted to do so we sat down in the kitchen all by ourselves for a while just talking. Like when Jia helped me clean up the plates and we just talked about absolutely everything. It was brilliant. Jia and I have come up with this plan to enter this zombie race thing and since she created a team without me, she said I should create my own and I told her we’ll band together to win and rule the world since the zombies are taking over. Basically said, if the zombies over run the world, we’re going to damn well make it certain we’ll rule this world. Then there was that really mindfucking game we walked out too everybody playing called Green Glass Door. Yeah it took a while to figure out but we eventually somehow got it. Boy was it confusing. Hell I still cannot figure out the 5 white balls riddle. I loved how everybody’s conclusion was that the one black ball was a testicle. Hahahahah apparently it wasn’t. The twins brought the guitar too so there was Christmas songs being sung for a bit. It was amazingggg. I don’t think I can say it enough times on how great it was just having everybody there, being able to show the Twins my rooms, my frames and all the pictures, everything. It was the best. I wish they could have slept over but alas by midnight everybody had to leave. The Twins and I did come up with an ice skating and movie marathon plan so there’s that. And that basically is my Christmas updates. I’m still shocked that tomorrow is New Years Eve. Where in the world did the time fly. It’s absolutely insane but let’s not think about it much, hopefully 2013 will be epic and everything will be so amazing. Yes yes. That would be perfect.
As of right now I’m enjoying my amazing room, thanks to my parents, the Christmas lights, thanks to my dad and the idea of tomorrow being awesome. As for any other stories… Well let’s see. Singapore is a long story but it’s a fun story. The trip to Bali was absolutely amazing. I entertained myself by mentally taking notes of all the hot guys I spotted. Which I spotted a lot off. I kept telling Lyanna (who was on vacation at the same time) and her only reply would either be “Go die” or “Fuck you and your luck during vacations!” I think her last reply was “Go away, I hate you, stop talking.” Or something along those lines. Thanks Lyanna. :P The first day due to delayed flights was basically us just sleeping. The next day was spent sight seeing and realizing how ridiculous the heat was. We did get to see this really beautiful temple though, it was breathtaking. There was a moment where this nice French guy helped me walk across a really steep edge and when I told Lana all she said was, “DON’T TRUST THE FRENCH! EEEEEERRHHHHH!!!” And then she proceeded to giving me a long lecture of why I shouldn’t trust them. Oh sweet Lana. :P At night we went to this really amazing place called the Rock Bar, a little too late for sunset but still breathtakingly gorgeous. The next day was spent getting up and early for a little water sports. First I tried my hand at diving, which was more amazing than I expected. After initially panicking about breathing underwater I ended up being okay to a point where they let me swim alone. I got to see finishes and coral and it was just amazing. Snorkeled after that so I just had my fun swimming in the open ocean. I don’t know if I’ve ever mentioned this but I love water. I really love swimming, being in the open ocean, just… Feeling like a mermaid. I don’t know, I just adore water so it was really fun for me to just have that freedom to swim. After that we tried jet skiing and while it was a bit scary at first I eventually said let me drive and it was SO MUCH FUN I AM SERIOUS OH MY GOD IT WAS SO AMAZING. I may have went a bit to fast at times and I may have freaked out when it came to turning but it was still so awesomeeeeee. So that basically was my water sports day. After that we went to the hotel, swam and relaxed some more then got ready to go to this really beautiful beach side restaurant where we watched the most amazing sunset. Food wasn’t really my cup of tea but nonetheless the surroundings made me okay with it. :D
Unfortunately the lack of water and the sun that day left me with heat exhaustion. Not quite heat stroke but enough to make me sick the next day, feel like shit on our flight back, swear I saw Henry Golding at the airport (totally did) and then come home to spend the next two weeks sick in bed with a high fever, puking like there’s no tomorrow. Oh what a joy that was. So yeah, that’s the Bali story. It was an amazing trip and I can’t thank my aunt enough for taking me along with her. I had an absolute blast and while yes at times it did get boring, to a point where it felt like one of those typical family trips where you only have limited conversation in a sense, I still did have an amazing time. As for recent hang outs well… Hmm… On the 11th of Decemeber, I randomly called up Lyanna for dinner and made her go on an Ikea date with me. She had just gotten back from Singapore so we spent that entire evening just catching up and talking about absolutely everything. It was hilarious, especially all the stories she brought back from Singapore. Oh it was gold. But it was really nice seeing her. On the 14th we went out again for Zain’s birthday party. Obviously we got to see Zandra as well so that was nice. Hung out as his place for a bit as everybody drank, then we went to Vertigo but to be honest Lyanna and I were just bored and… Not really up for partying somehow. I don’t know it was a weird feeling to describe but I did meet some really nice people and dear lord, I RAN into so many people I knew. It ranged from all over the place, like Ratri’s old Sayfol friends, some of her SIS friends, Lana’s school friends, a lot of Lyanna’s old school friends, random people I just knew from here and there. Just. So. Many. People. I literally repeated the whole, “Hi! How are you? Long time no see!” Oh my god, there was even one rather random hilarious moment where I met one of Ratri’s old school mates. I remember only meeting him once and he seemed too as well because he asked if we’ve met before and I told him, “Yes, Sayfol Idol, we were about 12/13 and all you did was throw water on me.” Haha so he proceeded to denying it but it was like I said, a really nice random conversation.
Lyanna and I tried our hand at dancing, but there were way to much groping happening for our liking. We ran, and found Zandra and Zain. It really was just a lazy mess. An interesting night somehow but a mess. Eventually by 5:30 we got back to my place where we crashed and woke up feeling lazy the next day. So much for us deciding to have a “YOLO” day and just let loose and have fun. Hahahaha. We did have a lot of random people hit on us that night though, very awkward… Anyway, on the 16th I got to see Lana by chance which was really nice to just hang out with her for a bit and catch up about absolutely everything. Since it was a rainy day I even had an excuse to wear a hoodie. Oh yeah it was nice alright. :D The last day on earth shit was complete and utter crap, we are all still alive so fuck you stupid people who stupidly maxed out their credit cards. On the 21st, I met up with Lana and Lyanna at InHouse for a random hang out. Almost ran into somebody I’ve successfully avoided for more than a year now, so that would have been awkward and then I slowly got more excited for Christmas. On the 23rd, I met up with my parents at the Curve before following them to Midvalley to go Christmas shopping with Lana. A very last minute but fun adventure. We were so damn organized and completed everything we had to do in less than two hours. Thanks to Lana already previously walking through the mall and before we were just that damn organize. Oh yeah. We’re that cool. Hahaha okay it’s 2:30 now and I’m successfully getting weirder. It was so much fun just shopping and finding the perfect gifts, even though we had a time limit and the people annoyed the fuck out of us. Oh I saw the most gorgeous heels too but they didn’t fit that amazingly so I had to let it go… The good news of the day though was that Lana got to see my dad as Santa! Hahaha which she proceeded to laughing her ass of when that happened but I got my payback when I made her take a picture with him. Suckaaa. :P
After that we all went home, locked ourselves in my room and started wrapping shit loads of presents I had for everybody. Seriously by the time I looked at the puddle of wrapped presents did I realize just how many gifts my mum was getting. Ah it was worth it in the end. Lana left around sixish to walk a dog, and then I went to D&D’s at around 8:30 to see Luen AND Lana again. They were their typical sappy selves. But it was still nice seeing Luen because while Lana admits to being the Grinch, Luen is a huge Christmas fan like I am. Hahaha. They seemed pretty excited about giving me my presents so that was an exciting thing, we had to wait for Lyanna, Sandra and Jason to get there first… But it was worth it. When Jason and Sandra arrived, Jason and I proceeded to having a really funny thing where we continued with our previous decision to be siblings. So whenever I said “my parents” he would correct me and say “OUR parents” or when I asked a question about his sister or his parents he’d make me say, OUR sister and OUR parents. It was absolutely hilarious but it was really nice in a way because hey, he would make a pretty awesome brother. Basically the night was one of the best ways I’ve ever spent Christmas Eve Eve and it was an amazing way to basically start of the official Christmas season. It was a night with great friends filled with tipsy moments (for them anyway) where we discussed how we met, old things we did we friends, and just any random memory we could think off. Like how Lana, Lyanna and I all apparently had small tiny crushes on Jason at one period of the time. Which mindfucked both Luen and Jason. Hahahaha or when Luen and Lana gave my present. Which was this homemade list of “Pixie’s Observation of Specimens of the Male Species” after Lana told him the story of what I did in Bali. It’s a list that I have to fill out each time I find a guy and it’ll help me see if he’s a douchebag or a nice guy. Hahahahahaha there’s even a section asking me if he’s real. Yes, I’m sure he’ll be real. I mean Joseph Gordon Levitt is real. He just doesn’t know he’s supposed to marry me yet. :P But yeah, it was a really nice night, it was just so amazing talking about all these old memories, relaxing, realizing Christmas was so soon and just being all together. I mean Jason said at a random moment that he’s just happy to share this moment with his best friends and I couldn’t agree more. This group of friends are people who mean so much to me and to be able to spend such an important night in a way with them, just made the night even more amazing. Until well Lana got really drunk and fell asleep so we all squeezed into Jason’s pick up truck listening to Fairytale of New York and leading Lana to Lyanna’s hotel room near the Curve. Oh the random things we do. So yeah that’s basically all the stories I have left to say.
It’s nearly 3am now, I’m listening to Ed Sheeran, I’m getting lost in my thoughts again and I think it’s about time for me to go to bed but on a TV show note I’ve finally been catching up on my shows and I must make a rather odd comment. Despite my overall issues against Glee before, for some reason season four is actually making me like it a lot. Maybe not the songs… But I actually like the plot line somehow. In a weird way. They still are pretty shit at it but I like the new characters even though I initially had my doubts about the old characters leaving. I like Rachel and Kurt’s life in New York. I like Brody. I like Sam and Brittany together. I love Marley and Jake together. I love Jake and Puck being brotherly. Everybody is all kind of really awesome and I’m really enjoying watching the series. Even Finn taking care of Glee club. It’s all weirdly interesting somehow. But it still has it’s really lame moments.
And with that, I bid you all farewell. Excuse the mess of a blog, I payed no mind to structure today, I just wrote random crap. But as my last blog of the year 2012, Happy New Year everybody. May 2013 bring you great things and amazing possibilities. :D
